Have we gotten the full names & home addresses of those "movers" yet? I could really use the long weekend away from here, so I'd be more than happy to run the woodchipper whilst you feed 'em into the hopper…

BTW, what kind of passive-aggressive neanderthal came up with that gas-company scheme? That makes Murkin cable companies look like fucking HUMANITARIANS… “We’ll be there between 8A and 2016, but YOU MUST BE THERE for us to connect your service…”

I’m working on it, Annti. And am still riled, so will leave it be for now…. Revenge is a plate best served cold. (Metternich, I think….)

That is pretty damn messed up about the movers alright. The gas people sounds abnout like most of the damn utility companies around here too. Luckily I haven’t had to deal with that lately but I can sure remember how much I hated just sitting and waiting on their asses the last time I had to. And I think then I did have a similar experience where they didn’t sure and I called and they had me down for a different date then they’d told me. If I remember right I bitched about that and they did get someone there the next day.

Well, Terrible, we have always been five years behind the times, so here we get a ‘window’ of one hour where we have to sit and wait for utilities people to do what they do.

BUT. There are draconian consequences if you are NOT there in the hour designated. You get fined if they have the inconvenience of having to come again on another date. And not a little fine, a big one.

Otherwise I would have been ‘FU’ all over them, and gone over and blasted those movers.

But if you are barely solvent, you do not have much choice, do you?

And that thing with the movers? The couch critter retreated to the kitchen, because he didn’t want to get violent, and is just helping, so he stayed out of it.

I so wish he had done otherwise, but there is only so much you can expect of people.
