Please Lend A Hand If You Can

Posted by Terrible on July 15, 2009 – 1:57 pm

As most of you know Annti is in the hospital today for her neck surgery. And if all goes as well as hoped she’ll be back home tonight. But it’ll be a while before she’s back to being the Annti we all know and love. She won’t be able to get around on her own for a while and will have to be asking for rides etc. And will need to give something for gas etc to those she can get to help her. And as you all know Annti is on a very small fixed income and can’t afford a lot of the things many people take for granted much less come up with cash for a ride to get meds or groceries. SOOOOOO if you can PLEASE pitch in a little to help out by clicking on the PayPal Donate button to your right and down(labeled ‘Annti’s Feral Feline Food, Fuel, and First-Aid Fund’). Believe you me I know things are tight all way round for most of us these days but even a couple of bucks will help make a difference. Bad enough having to have neck surgery, worse still to have it when broke and unable to get about.

Thanks for the reminder Terrible. I totally forgot today was the big day. I'll put some change in the piggy bank for our girl. Who is going to be babysitting her at home? Anybody know?

Mags, other then Boy and Biddy I don't know.
And of course you're welcome for the reminder.

And thanks to you, Terrible, and Scott @ World O'Crap, and our own beloved Mentis Fugit for chipping-in with the mailing list. What would I do without friends like y'all in my world?

    Oh, right, I wouldn't HAVE a life, that's it.

Many many heartfelt thanks to all. Time to go back into my coma now. Nighty-night.

    XOXOXO
    Love,
    A.S.C.

BTW, I am very lonesome, as my chirrens are over at THEIR house, until I can lean/bend over to scoop the litterbox, feed them, pick their heavy butts up, etc. So while I might get to go visit them (hopefully tomorrow!), I haven't seen my babies since Tuesday night.

And I know that they're probably having fun, getting to go outside and "Be Real Cats," to graze, chase bugs, beat the snot out of poor ol' Moose (metaphorically, they never do draw blood), etc., but if they were here with me, they'd be the best little nurse-maids you ever saw. They get very upset when I'm not well (which is a large chunk of my life since '98), and tend to hover over me, purring and patting me like I'm THEIR sick chirren. And yes, I miss that very much.

Hard to get to sleep without their big butts weighing down the other side of the bed.

But I know that they're better off, for now, anyway, being over there, because even though my "parents" aren't the most fastidious litterbox-cleaners, and they don't always remember when to give them the hairball treats, at least they can come & go in and out as they wish, and I know that nobody will fall over and konk a head whilst trying to feed them.

So all of y'all who have four-legged chirrens, birds, whatever critter chirrens you have — give 'em some good love for me tonight, okay? I miss my babies so damned much, and I haven't even been able to get outside to tend to the semi-ferals or pet Bob. My nicer neighbor has been feeding & watering the outside cats for me, so I'm not worried about them, I just miss their ornery asses, too.

In other words, I'm a shitty excuse for a bed-ridden patient. Be glad that I didn't somehow wind-up being an INPATIENT @ Our Lady Of Perpetual Bigory!

And thank y'all all again, for all of the help that has poured-in, mostly from people I've never met! I'm definitely gonna owe Mentis, Terrible & Scott from Wo'C some serious cookies when I can bake again!

    XOXOXO
    J/ASC
