Falling Down the Mountain

Posted by Terrible on July 19, 2007 – 1:58 pm

Well OK in the pics I’m more strolling down the mountain. That first pic is trespassing on private property on Rte 12A in Braintree,VT in ’92 or ’93. The second one is at Sunset Ledge on the Long Trail in Lincoln,VT in ’94 or ’95. And yes I could be doing it in a Swiss-sit in comfort but this is more fun!

But speaking of falling off mountains I think most Americans and our dear friends from all the corners of the Earth agree that it is way past time to knock the bush crime family off the power mountain they’ve been building here in our once fine country. One of the things that attracted me to Annti’s writing these many years ago, way back when she was only another commenter at the Generals, was that she was calling for criminal trials for the criminals. You know just like our laws dictate? Well she seemed to be one of the few besides myself at that time supporting law and order. But no longer!! Many, many Americans are finally waking to the fact that not only are criminal trials justified but they are neccassary for the continuation of “the American way of life”. This should have been happening at least 4 years ago but now there is more talk and action going on to see those trials become a reality. But it isn’t going to happen without a large segment of the American population demanding that justice be served to these scum in the bush crime family. This isn’t an answer to all our troubles by any means but it is one step in the right direction. Please sign this petition and then carry on in any way you can to help put these loathsome scum in prison where they belong!

“We, the undersigned, believe George Bush and Dick Cheney should be prosecuted for the following war crimes:

1. George Bush and Dick Cheney ordered a War of Aggression against Iraq. This constitutes a Crime Against Peace – for which Nazi leaders were prosecuted at the Nuremberg Trials – and violates the UN Charter.
2. George Bush and Dick Cheney ordered the bombing of civilian areas like Baghdad (with 5 million innocent civilians) and Basra. This resulted in the deaths of hundreds of non-combatants, in violation of Geneva Convention (IV) Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, August 12, 1949.
3. George Bush and Dick Cheney are ultimately responsible for the torture and murder of Iraqi prisoners, which resulted from policies that were approved by Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales, and Vice President Cheney himself. These policies were adopted with full knowledge that they could result in war crimes, which persuaded Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee to urge Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to appoint a special prosecutor.”

KO was Awesome. Just caught it on the internets after collapsing for the afternoon. so hot here.

I wish there were something I could do, but not allowed to interfere in ‘foreign’ countries, you know.

OT–but, you’d really be in your element in this country, all right. Rodgers and Hammerstein didn’t write ‘Climb Every Mountain’ for nothing you know…. But will tell you a secret: Mountains can kill you so be careful.

renb, I had one foot in Austria once! Well one ski anyway. It’s funny being from Vermont but I learned to ski in Germany compliments of the Army. One day I got to go to a ski area on the border. Some friends skied down the Austrian side to a restuarant but I just put one foot over the border and then kept practicing my fun new skill. And I don’t know if I could be called careful but I am always safety conscious when reppeling.
