Court bars second court-martial for Watada
By Hal Bernton
Seattle Times staff reporter
A U.S. District Court judge today granted a preliminary injunction that bars the Army from proceeding with a second court-martial trial of 1st Lt. Ehren Watada, the first Army officer to face prison for refusing to deploy to Iraq.”

“Watada last year publicly denounced the Bush Administration for waging an illegal war in violation of both U.S. and international law. And, in June of 2006, he refused to join the 3rd (Stryker) Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division out of Fort Lewis as the soldiers deployed to Iraq. Watada still serves at Fort Lewis.”

This is the kind of officer that I was proud to serve under when I was in the US Army for a short time back in the early 80’s. One that was honest and took his oath of office with utmost sincerity!

Thank you, terrible, for the good news. Lt. Watada reminds me of that other soldier who fought and died in Afghanistan, and who was heard to say to his fellow servicemen while talking about the Iraq war, “That war is so fucking illegal”, ie. Pat Tillman.

There is a support website for Lt. Watada here:

Amen to the Tillman honors, Danno. That was no fucking accident, but then, when are there ever, really?

And Terrible, you continue to rawk like a mofo. Ehren sounds like a kid that I would trust with a gun, any fucking day. If only more of the kids who got suckered into this “volunteer” (economic blackmail) army spent the time actually THINKING about it the way that Ehren did, maybe we’d have an entire army full of conscientious objectors, who refused to kowtow to Halliburton, Shaw Group, etc. in order to continue murdering for (CORPORATE) profits.

Hey, a pacifist bitch can dream, right? And a-fucking-men for that District Court judge who actually had the titanium ovaries/testes to STAND UP FOR THE FUCKING TRUTH!!! I’m surprised that Cheney hadn’t had ’em all killed by now…

I went to a rally earlier this year, with T-son and the Leon. This is just part one of the speech we had to stand outside and listen on speakers. IT WAS THAT CROWDED!
